<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-make lid concealing an opening, having ventilation and drain functions, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A lid concealing an opening 10 formed of composite material of wood flour and plastics covers an end face 57 of a hollow member 40 having an opening at the end face 57 in a longitudinal direction and includes a rear face 24 in contact with the end face 57, of which one peripheral edge along one long side (lower end) constitutes a step portion 28 set back adjacent to a surface 21. When the end face 57 of the hollow member 40 is covered, a hollow part 43 of the hollow member 40 communicates with outside air through the step portion 28.
