<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater that can determine whether a temperature failure of supplied hot water is caused by a failure of a mixing valve or a stoppage of water supply. <P>SOLUTION: The storage type water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 4; water supply pipes 2a, 2b for supplying the cold water from a water source to the hot water storage tank 4; a tap side mixing valve 6e for generating hot water in which the hot water supplied from the hot water storage tank 4 and the cold water supplied from a water supply pipe 2d are mixed; a mixing valve opening degree control device for controlling an opening degree of the tap side mixing valve 6e so that a temperature of hot water supplied on the tap side is matched to a set temperature on the tap side that is set by a user; a failure detection device for detecting the occurrence of the temperature failure of supplied hot water in which the temperature of hot water supplied on the tap side is abnormally high as compared with the set temperature on the tap side; and a failure cause determination device for determining whether a temperature failure of supplied hot water is caused by a failure of the tap side mixing valve 6e or a failure of water supply in which water is not supplied from the water supply pipe 2a, when the occurrence of the temperature failure of supplied hot water is detected by the failure detection device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
