<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC-AC conversion circuit configured to selectively use full bridge/half bridge converters which implements effective use of circuit components and high performance and high functionality of the circuit by using a series circuit of all bidirectional switches. <P>SOLUTION: In the AC-AC conversion circuit in which a capacitor series circuit and first and second bidirectional switch series circuits are connected in parallel with an AC power supply and a changeover switch S<SB POS="POST">0</SB>selects the full bridge converter or half bridge converter for AC-AC conversion, a switch S<SB POS="POST">5</SB>is connected between a junction of the first bidirectional switch series circuit and a junction of the second bidirectional switch series circuit, and the switch S<SB POS="POST">5</SB>is turned on when the half bridge converter is configured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
