<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter 1, which has a structure, when pushing out a pinion 7, not pushing out a clutch 4 in an integrated manner, and which can achieve miniaturization of the clutch 4. <P>SOLUTION: In a starter 1, a pinion 7 is attached to and detached from a ring gear G by moving a pinion tube 6 into which an outer circumference of an output shaft 5 is fitted and to which the pinion 7 is provided at one end. Ends of a female helical spline 6a provided at the pinion tube 6 and a male helical spline 5a provided at the output shaft 5 at an axial direction motor side are provided so as to be positioned closer to an axial direction anti-motor side than the clutch 4, respectively. In other words, because the spline for pushing out the pinion 7 is provided outside the clutch 4, there is no need for enlarging the clutch 4, and the miniaturization of the clutch 4, and thereby the miniaturization of the starter 1 may be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
