PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably reduce a backlash of a worm reduction gear.SOLUTION: A shaft coupler 100 is provided for connecting a worm shaft 2 and an output shaft 7a of an electric motor 7 in an electric power steering device 101, and includes a motor side joint 8 connected to the output shaft 7a, a worm side joint 6 connected to the worm shaft 2, and a coupling 20 arranged between the motor side joint 8 and the worm side joint 8 and transmitting rotational torque of the electric motor 7 to the worm shaft 2. The motor side joint 8 and the worm side joint 6 have a plurality of projection parts 32 and 42 extending in the axial direction, and the mutual projection parts 32 and 42 are alternately arranged in the peripheral direction. The coupling 20 is constituted of a plurality of caps 21 fitted to the projection parts 32 and 42 of the motor side joint 8 or the worm side joint 6. |
