The present invention relates to titanium dioxide having excellent dispersibility and a method of producing same. A method for producing titanium dioxide slurry having excellent dispersibility is a method for producing titanium dioxide slurry used as a quenching agent in a process of producing polyester resin for fiber by reacting ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. The method for producing titanium dioxide slurry produces titanium dioxide slurry by mixing and agitating 10 to 20 wt% of titanium dioxides with ethylene glycol and maintaining the temperature of the titanium dioxide slurry at least at 30 to 40°C in order to control conditions in which the temperature of the titanium dioxide slurry increases by friction between the titanium dioxides caused by agitation, and thereby static electricity is induced in the titanium dioxides. The method of the present invention provides a method for preventing an increase in the temperature of titanium dioxide slurry and controlling the generation of static electricity when the titanium dioxide slurry is produced, so that cohesion and re-cohesion are prevented and dispersibility improves in the titanium dioxide slurry. The method also provides a method for easily producing titanium dioxide slurry having excellent storage stability so that current problems can be solved.
