A range-gate based sensing device firstly releases a guard mode when there is authentication for allowing access to a guard area from the guard mode for guarding the guard area for each range-gate. The device determines whether there is trespassing based on a characteristic change pattern of a radio signal obtained by a radio wave sensor disposed in the guard area and finally release the guard mode when it is determined that there is no trespassing. |
