<p>The present invention relates to a chuck body capable of reducing the weight thereof. The chuck body includes multiple space units which are concavely formed at the back side of the chuck body. The space units are separated by reinforcement units from one another, and are sealed by a circular plate body with a through-hole at the center thereof. The circular plate body is coupled with the back side of the chuck body by a fastening fixture while being hung on the reinforcement unit and a hanging projection formed on the inner or outer side of the space unit. Thus, provided in the present invention is the chuck body which includes a soundproof and dustproof cover for a chuck that reduces the weight thereof. Therefore, the chuck body can maintain excellent rigidity by using an alloy steel or a carbon steel with good rigidity for a mechanical structure, and can significantly reduce the weight thereof by being manufactured in not a cutting method but a molding method in order to form multiple space units at the back side thereof. In addition, the chuck body can firmly and stably couple the circular cover using the reinforcement unit and the hanging projection formed at the back side thereof, and can remove disadvantages caused by reducing the weight of the chuck, including enormous noise and the inflow of foreign materials.</p> |
