摘要 <p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device to precisely measure elastic modulus of model ice in an icy water tank. To achieve the purpose, the present invention provides a device to measure elastic modulus of model ice including: a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) measuring the micro displacement of the model ice as a measuring part touches an upper surface of the model ice; a loading jig applying micro stress to the model ice by touching the upper surface of the model ice, and applying a circular uniform micro stress around the measuring part of the linear variable differential transformer; a weight placed on the loading jig to generate the micro stress; and a control part calculating the elastic modulus of the model ice from a micro displacement signal of the linear variable differential transformer. According to the present invention, the elastic modulus of the model ice, which is very hard to measure with an existing method, is able to precisely be measured. And if elastic modulus of ice in a real sea is accurately simulated in the icy water tank formed based on the present invention, an ice breaking phenomenon is able to be accurately simulated and a final accurate ice resistance is able to be estimated through an ice model test. Lastly, as elastic modulus data of the model ice is provided to a requester of the ice model test, the awareness and reliability of the ice model test are improved.</p>
