Disclosed is an antibody or an antigen binding fragment thereof which is capable of specifically binding to feline neuronal growth factor (NGF) and inhibiting the ability of feline NGF to bind to the p75 or TrkA feline NGF receptor, wherein the antibody or antigen binding fragment comprises the heavy and light chains of the sequences as disclosed in the specification; wherein the antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof does not contain any amino acid in any position within the framework regions which would be foreign at the position in one or more feline antibodies. Also disclosed is a method for preparing such antibodies. |
