PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-assemble connecting rod that has large abrasion resistance and can adjust a compression ratio, and an internal combustion engine using the same.SOLUTION: A connecting rod 10 has: a crank pin bearing eye 11 to be connected to a crank shaft; a connecting rod bearing eye 12 to be connected to a piston of a cylinder; and an eccentric element adjusting device 13 for adjusting effective length of the connecting rod. The eccentric element adjusting device 13 has an eccentric element cooperating with the eccentric element lever 14, and eccentric element rods 15, 16 engaged with the eccentric element lever 14. The eccentric element lever 14 has at least one eccentric lever segment, is arranged at front and rear parts of the connecting rod bearing eye 12 in an axial direction of the eccentric element, and is fixed to the eccentric element. |
