PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand a region in which injection amount variance among cylinders of an internal combustion engine can be precisely corrected.SOLUTION: In an operation region (an operation region in which an injection period of a fuel injection valve 31 and a discharge period of a high-pressure pump 14 do not overlap each other) other than an injection discharge overlap region, a fuel pressure drop amount due to fuel injection of a fuel injection valve 31 of each cylinder is calculated as information on injection amount variance based upon the output of a fuel pressure sensor 32, and the injection amount variance of the fuel injection valve 31 of the cylinder is corrected based upon the fuel pressure drop amount due to the fuel injection of the cylinder. In the injection discharge overlap region (an operation region in which the injection period of the fuel injection valve 31 and the discharge period of the high-pressure pump 14 overlap each other), on the other hand, a fuel pressure variation amount (a difference in fuel pressure across the injection discharge period) due to injection discharge of each cylinder is calculated as information on injection amount variance based upon the output of the fuel pressure sensor 32, and the injection amount variance of the fuel injection value 31 of the cylinder is corrected based upon the fuel pressure variation amount due to the injection discharge of the cylinder. |
