PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic bottle capable of securing usability even when a large sized bottle is formed so as to save weight, and capable of coping with top load efficiently.SOLUTION: A plastic bottle 1 having a dent 80 for finger insertion on at least part of a waist part 40 of a trunk 4 has plural recessed-shaped peripheral ribs 100, 102, 104, 106 with intervals in a vertical direction in vertical positions including the dent 80 and the waist part 40. Among the ribs, the peripheral ribs 102, 106 are formed of a parting peripheral rib which is parted so as not to be continuous on bottoms 82, 84 of the dent 80 and extends in a peripheral direction of the trunk 4, respectively. The bottoms 82, 84 of the dent 80 is configured to deform so as to expand when top load F is applied to the plastic bottle 1, and the deformed shape returns to an original shape when the top load F is released. |
