PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device arranged to be able to keep desired color characteristics of the device without the need for a large amount of photoluminescence material.SOLUTION: A white light emitting device 10 comprises: a blue-color light emitting LED 12 mounted on at least one face of an optically transmissive substrate 16, and electrically connected thereto; and a photoluminescence wavelength conversion component 14. The photoluminescence wavelength conversion component includes a mixture of particles of at least one photoluminescence material (phosphor), and particles of a light-reflective material. A light emission product 30 of the white light emitting device includes a combined light generated by the blue-color light emitting LED and the photoluminescence material. The photoluminescence wavelength conversion component is physically located far from the blue-color light emitting LED, which is a distance L of at least 5 mm away from there. |
