A storage system is provided with a memory unit and a control unit. The memory unit stores data. The control unit executes replication of updated data on the basis of the update frequency of the data. The control unit may also be provided with a frequency detection unit, a policy management unit, and a replication execution unit. The frequency detection unit detects the data update frequency by detecting the number of times the data is updated. The policy management unit determines a data replication policy on the basis of the data update frequency. The replication execution unit executes replication of the updated data on the basis of the replication policy. |
