<p>Disclosed are a control apparatus for a vehicle and a control method for a vehicle, wherein an ECU for braking calculates vehicle acceleration (G) on the basis of a detected signal from an acceleration sensor provided in a vehicle. The ECU for braking performs a stopping control wherein, when the absolute value of the vehicle acceleration (G) calculated before the vehicle stops is larger than the absolute value of creep acceleration (Ac) set as acceleration corresponding to creep torque generated in the vehicle, an engine is allowed to be stopped (second timing (t12)).</p> |
