PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor compressor which inhibits enlargement of the device even if a booster converter which boosts a low voltage from a direct current power source is installed.SOLUTION: A motor compressor 10 includes: a booster converter 18 which boosts a voltage output from a direct current power source 16; an inverter 20 which converts electric power boosted by the booster converter 18 into alternating current power; and a motor 14 which rotates the motor compressor 10 with the alternating current power output from the inverter 20. The booster converter 18 and the inverter 20 are provided on the same substrate, stored in the same inverter case, and cooled by a refrigerant which flows into the motor compressor 10.
