FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a digital broadcast receiver and a receiving method, which enable to provide high-quality services by combining broadcasting and communication. A tuner receives broadcast content transmitted over a broadcast network. A communication interface receives inserted content inserted while receiving the broadcast content. Video and audio output units output the broadcast content and the inserted content. A switch switches between the broadcast content and the inserted content output by the video and audio output units.
