Provided are a coating device (1) with which it is possible to eject a constant flow of a coating liquid (2) from a nozzle (5) in a coating commencement area, and additionally to instantaneously eject a surplus of the coating liquid (2) in an amount necessary to form a bead; a coating method; and a method for manufacturing a display component. Specifically, the device is provided with: a nozzle (5) for ejecting the coating liquid (2); a moving means (8) for producing relative movement of the nozzle (5) and a coated component (W); a supply means (10) for supplying the coating liquid (2) to the nozzle (5); and a pressure reducing means (40) for suctioning the coating liquid (2) inside the nozzle (5). The supply means (10) is provided with: a first supply means (61) including a liquid feeder (12) for feeding the coating liquid (2) to the nozzle (5) in a constant flow; and a second supply means (62) having a tank (13) that stores the coating liquid (2), the tank being connected to the nozzle (5) through a flow channel (11), and a pressurization means (14) for pressurizing the coating liquid (2) in the tank (13) and feeding the coating liquid (2) to the nozzle (5).
