PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbide tool capable of being easily manufactured without shortening a tool life, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a carbide tool 1 comprises: the step of forming a base film 31 made of one kind selected from a group composed of a metal nitride, a metal carbide and a metal carbonitride, over a base material 2 made of a hard metal; the step of forming a metal film 32 made of one kind selected from a group composed of Al, Ti and Zr, over the base film 31; and the step of forming a metal oxide film by oxidizing the metal film 32 in the atmosphere and at a high temperature while the carbide tool is being used.
