PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrosurgical forceps that do not expose a wire to a surgical environment.SOLUTION: Electrosurgical forceps comprise: jaw members 110 and 120 extending from respective distal ends of a first shaft 12a and a second shaft 12b; and handles 17a and 17b disposed at respective proximal ends of the first shaft and the second shaft. A proximal shaft connector 19 operably coupling to at least one of the first and second shafts is configured to connect the bipolar electrosurgical instrument to a source of electrosurgical energy providing first and second electrical potentials to the bipolar electrosurgical instrument; and an electrosurgical cable including a first conductive lead 210a adapted to connect to the first electrical potential and a second conductive lead 210b adapted to connect to the second electrical potential. |
