Beam comprising at least one first part (100) that has a main body (110) with an overall U-shape in cross section and provided with lateral flanges (140, 150) projecting outwards from the edges of the U, the main body (110) also comprising a part bottom (112) and two side plates (120, 130) which form the edges of the U, characterized in that: - the central portion of the main body (110) defines cells (114, 128, 138) that act in tension and compression, respectively, on either side of a main neutral bending axis (A-A), said cells being formed by two transition zones (125, 126, 127; 135, 136, 137) which are each located between the U-shaped element (110) and a lateral flange (140, 150); - the part bottom (112) of the main body (110) comprises at least one transition (113) formed by a curvature discontinuity; - at least one side plate (120, 130) comprises at least one transition (121, 131) formed by a curvature discontinuity.
