<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of obtaining an ultrasonic image having high picture quality up to a predetermined depth without waste by spacial compounding when an acoustic coupler is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: When an ultrasonic probe transmits and receives ultrasonic waves in different directions and a diagnostic apparatus body composites a plurality of images differing in transmission/reception direction to generate one ultrasonic image, at least one of the ultrasonic images to be composited is made large in depth when the acoustic coupler is mounted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
