<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of suitably coping with hall conditions. <P>SOLUTION: According to the game machine, when power is supplied, since one display performance mode specified by a mode specifying means is set to a mode setting means, the initial display performance mode after the power supply is specified by the mode specifying means. Thus, by switching and specifying the initial display performance mode after the power supply by a mode switching and specifying means so as to be an appropriate display performance mode according to the clientele of the hall, the generation possibility of situations inconvenient for a player due to the fact that the player cannot use an operation means well or the like is lowered, and thus the player is prevented from playing with low interest.
