This method for producing a conductive member comprises a step wherein a first halogenated silver emulsion layer, a light absorption layer and a second halogenated silver emulsion layer are sequentially formed on a transparent supporting body in this order, and the first halogenated silver emulsion layer and the second halogenated silver emulsion layer are subjected to patterned light exposure and development, thereby obtaining a conductive layer that is provided with a thin metal wire. The light absorption layer absorbs at least some of the wavelengths of light to which the first halogenated silver emulsion layer and the second halogenated silver emulsion layer are exposed.
