PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce power consumption in a sleep mode which is conventionally not possible because continuous power supply to an SLIC and a main CPU is necessary even in the sleep mode in order to maintain operable states.SOLUTION: An image communication device, which includes a telephone control unit for controlling a telephone unit, further includes a controller including the main CPU and power control means for power supply control. At a shift to the sleep mode, the controller suspends power supply to the controller, and supplies power to the telephone control unit so that the telephone control unit can detect at least the off-hook of the telephone unit. When the off-hook of the telephone unit is detected in the sleep mode, the telephone control unit controls to supply power to the controller to retain a dial signal which is input while the controller is activated, and transmits the retained dial signal to the controller on completion of the activation of the controller. |
