The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of suggesting a standard protocol on a home network using ACR service. An information processing method according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a disclosing step of causing a content playback apparatus to disclose a command with which a terminal apparatus operates an identification request processing unit, an obtaining calling step of causing the terminal apparatus to obtain and call the command disclosed by the content playback apparatus, a transfer step of causing the content playback apparatus to operate the identification request unit in response to calling of the command by the terminal apparatus, and transfer the response to the terminal apparatus, and a step of causing the terminal apparatus to receive the transferred response, and obtain and execute a synchronized application, which is to be executed in accordance with progress of the content, on the basis of related meta data corresponding to the identified content, included in the response. The present disclosure can be applied to a home network system using ACR service. |
