The objective of the present invention is an electromagnetic shield member having a structure in which there are formed gaps lined up in the circumferential direction of a cylindrical metal member, wherein deformation in the portions between the gaps (non-gap sections) is suppressed. The electromagnetic shield member is provided with a shield and a reinforcement member. The shield body is provided with gap sections, which are portions in which a plurality of first gaps are formed, and non-gap sections adjacent in the longitudinal direction to the gap sections. The reinforcement member has a cylindrical portion along the outer and/or inner circumferential surface of the non-gap sections of the shield body, the reinforcement member being affixed to said circumferential surface.
