<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing capable of keeping the position of an operation knob appropriately at each position of a lock state and an unlock state, and a small-sized electric apparatus having the housing. <P>SOLUTION: The housing includes a cylindrical case 7 with an aperture 6 at the lower end, and a detachable bottom lid 8 that plugs the aperture, the detachable bottom lid being provided with a lid body 46 that plugs the aperture, the operation knob 47 supported rotatably by the lid body, and a terminal board 73 that composes a power supply circuit. A lock structure includes a lock body 48 provided so as to rotate accompanying a connecting shaft of the operation knob, a locking part 22 disposed on a case side that the lock body engages with and disengages from, and a moderation structure that can keep the position of the lock body at each position of a lock state and an unlock state. The moderation structure includes a moderation piece 96 provided to the terminal board, and a holding part 67 provided to the lock body or the connection shaft that the moderation piece engages with and disengages from. The terminal board includes a contact 95 for a battery 4 that can make elastic deformation, and the moderation piece that can make elastic deformation.
