According to the present invention, an apparatus to monitor a surface of a roller is disclosed. According to the present invention, the apparatus to monitor a surface of a roller comprises: lower rollers arranged in a transfer direction of a material; upper rollers arranged on an upper side of the lower rollers; a lower roller detection unit installed towards the lower rollers between the upper rollers, detecting a state of a surface of the lower rollers; an upper roller detection unit installed towards the upper rollers between the lower rollers, detecting the state of the surface of the upper rollers; and a control unit receiving a signal of the lower roller detection unit or the upper roller detection unit to control operation of the upper rollers and the lower rollers.
