Provided is a testing apparatus and a controlling method thereof for detecting a testing item by using a reaction apparatus equipped with a plurality of reaction parts in order to detect identical testing items. Also, provided is a testing apparatus and a controlling method thereof for detecting the detecting result on a single testing item by using the detecting result of at least two reaction parts. The testing apparatus comprises: a detection part detecting a reaction result of the reaction parts provided in the reaction apparatus to detect the identical testing items; and a controlling part computing testing results on the testing items by using detection results of at least two reaction parts among the detection results from the detection part.
