The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a data processing method and device being capable of reducing time delay and energy consumption of data processing during data interaction in an optical network. The method comprises: obtaining an optical data packet to be processed; obtaining an optical label in the optical data packet to be processed and determining whether an optical signal data frame is a preset type of data frame according to the optical label; if the optical signal data frame is a preset type data frame, then according to the destination address of the optical label, obtaining a port corresponding to the label destination address and generating an optical switching instruction; and outputting the optical data packet to be processed through a target port according to the optical switching instruction. The present invention is used for data processing.
