Provided is a pneumatic tire having excellent water discharge performance achieved while the on-snow performance and the on-ice performance are maintained. The present invention provides a pneumatic tire (100) having, on the treading surface of the tread, lands (3) defined and formed by main grooves (1, 2) extending continuously in the circumferential direction of the tire. At least one of the lands (3) is provided with lateral grooves (5) extending in the width direction of the tire, the lateral grooves (5) each having one end open to one main groove (1) of the main grooves (1, 2) on both sides, the main grooves (1, 2) defining and forming the lands (3), the lateral grooves (5) each also having the other end terminating within the land (3); widthwise-extending sipes (6a) extending in the width direction of the tire, the sipes (6a) each having one end open to the one main groove (1), the sipes (6a) each also having the other end terminating within the land (3); and circumferential sipes (6b) extending in the circumferential direction of the tire and each having opposite ends terminating within the land (3). The pneumatic tire is characterized in that: the other end of each of the widthwise-extending sipes (6a) connects to one end of each of the circumferential sipes (6b); the other end of each of the lateral grooves (5) connects to the circumferential sipe (6b); and the other end of the circumferential sipe (6b) passes through the position where the circumferential sipe (6b) and the lateral groove (5) are connected and extends circumferentially to a position where the other end of the circumferential sipe (6b) terminates. |
