A caliper brake for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a carrier installed on a vehicle body and having a disk arranged inside; a housing combined with the carrier to be able to slide; pad plates arranged in front of and behind the disk, including a frictional pad on one surface adjacent to the disk, and conducting a braking operation by moving toward the disk along the inner surface of the carrier during the braking of a vehicle and making the frictional pad touch the disk; a spring pad installed between the pad plates and the carrier to support the pad plates and guiding the movement of the pad plates during the braking and release of the vehicle; and gap adjustment members mounted on the spring pad and elastically supporting the pad plates arranged in front of and behind the disk. The gap adjustment members are combined respectively with the pad plates arranged in front of and behind the disk, are compressed and deformed by being pressurized by the pad plates, which move toward the disk during the braking of the vehicle, and separates the pad plates by a preset distance from the disk by being elastically restored during the braking release of the vehicle.
