<p>Abstract An embodiment of a forty foot long ISO shipping 5 container 10 is shown which has two gas portals 12, 14 fitted thereto, one portal 12 being located in an uppermost stiffening groove or recess 16 positioned in an end door 20 of the container 10, and a second portal 14 being located in a lowermost stiffening groove or recess 10 22 located in the same end door 20. The uppermost portal 12 is shown coupled to a fumigant introduction means in the form of a fumigant tank 24 containing a source of liquefied fumigant reagent, a heater 26, an inlet fan 28 and a gas hose 30 located between each of these items and 15 a further hose 32 connected to the uppermost portal 12.</p> |
