<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a heater having high reliability and durability configured to suppress occurrence of microcracks in a joint between a resistor and leads, and a change in product resistance even when a heavy current passes through a resistor during a pulse drive, DC drive, or rapid heat-up; and a glow plug including the heater. <P>SOLUTION: A heater 1 comprises: an insulating substrate 9; a resistor 3 which is buried in the insulating substrate 9, and is in a folded shape; and a pair of leads 8 buried in the insulating substrate 9. The front ends of the leads 8 are connected to the resistor 3, and their respective rear ends are led out to the surface of the insulating substrate 9. When the pair of leads 8 are viewed in a cross section perpendicular to an axial direction, opposed regions which are opposed to each other and are adjacent to each other are respectively formed by a straight line, and arcuate parts are included in a non-opposed region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
