Method and device for recording data

The method involves providing a number of data recording modules (5) in an electronic unit, where the data recording modules are formed by software modules and the data is transferred as bus subscribers of a bus system (1). Data in the electronic unit is written sequentially by the data recording modules into a circular buffer. The data written in the circular buffer is stored during trigger condition that occurs when local trigger conditions of the data recording modules are fulfilled. An independent claim is also included for a data recording system, comprising a data recording module.
