PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatus constitution capable of efficiently producing a plurality of ingots while keeping high quality, in the production of active metal using a melting furnace for smelting metal having a hearth.SOLUTION: The melting furnace for smelting metal includes: the hearth for retaining molten metal produced by melting raw materials; a mold into which the molten metal is charged; a drawing tool which is disposed below the casting mold to draw the cooled and solidified ingot downward; a cooling member for cooling the ingot; and an outer cylinder which separates the hearth, the mold, the drawing tool, and the cooling member from the atmosphere. A plurality of the molds and a plurality of the drawing tools are disposed in the outer cylinder. The cooling member is disposed between the plurality of the ingots drawn from the plurality of the molds and/or between the outer cylinder and the ingot. |
