<p>An electronic circuit for processing signals from a strain gauge pressure sensor 12 includes an anti-alias low pass filter 16, analogue multiplexer (MUX) 20, analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) circuit 22, and a detection circuit 18 for detecting when the sensor is unexpectedly disconnected from the signal processing circuit. The detection circuit provides a polarity indication representing the connection of the pressure sensor to the circuit based upon the separate comparison of a signal terminal voltage with an independent reference voltage.</p> |
