<p>Aspects of the present invention are directed to personal protection articles, such as protective clothing, articles for sequential contact with multiple users, and cellulosic articles, which have their surface a coating formulation having activity to de-activate pathogenic micro-organisms, the coating comprising an acidic polymer, suitably the polymaleic acid material Gantrez™, a surfactant and an acid.
