PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To include an interface transmitting signals between devices to cope with failure in detection of connection or instability of connection without requiring operations by a user.SOLUTION: A projector 1 includes a projection unit 10, a reception unit 121, and a connection control unit 111. The reception unit 121 is connected to a portable terminal 2 and receives image signals and control signals from the portable terminal 2. The projection unit 10 displays images on the basis of the image signals received by the reception unit 121. The connection control unit 111 makes the transition of the reception unit 121 to a first state where the portable terminal 2 is recognized not to be connected to the reception unit 121 before performing a reconnection operation to make the transition of the reception unit 121 to a second state where the portable terminal 2 is recognized to be connected to the reception unit. |
