PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid reception device which inhibits scattering of a liquid flowed by an inertial force when a liquid retention part retaining the liquid moves or stops, and to provide a liquid jet device. ! SOLUTION: A liquid reception device 15 includes liquid retention parts 32, each of which has a bottom part 45 and a peripheral wall part 46 protruding from the bottom part 45, the liquid retention part 32 having a liquid storage part 47 for storing a liquid by the bottom part 45 and the peripheral wall part 46. The liquid retention part 32 may move in a moving direction intersecting with a gravity direction Z and includes protruding parts 51 which protrudes to the upper side relative to the bottom part 45 at the liquid storage part 47 when viewed in a vertical direction. !
