Disclosed are a method and device for transmitting and receiving system information. The method comprises: a base station obtaining a preset modification period of enhanced system information, the enhanced system information being system information requiring enhanced transmission, the modification period of the enhanced system information being an integer multiple of a modification period of non-enhanced system information, and the non-enhanced system information being system information transmitted based on scheduling of a control channel in a system information window; and transmitting the enhanced system information by means of enhanced transmission at a configured position in a time sequence within the modification period of the enhanced system information. By means of the method or device of the present invention, fewer transmission resources are occupied. |
