PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functionalized polymer which provides reduced hysteresis and reduced cold flow, which are advantageous in tire production.SOLUTION: Provided is a functionalized polymer produced by a method including steps of: (i) forming a reactive polymer with a cis-1,4-polydiene chain by polymerizing a conjugated diene by a lanthanide-based coordination catalyst, the reactive polymer having a cis-1,4-bond content of 90% or more; and (ii) reacting the reactive polymer and a nitrile compound having a protected amino group, represented by the following formula. [R1 is a divalent organic group; and R2 and R3 are univalent organic groups or hydrolyzable groups, or divalent organic groups bonded to each other.] |
