A method includes: acquiring a cost limit for a media data promoter in a preset time period and a cost limit for a media data promotion plan of the media data promoter in the preset time period; collecting statistics in each preset time period on a cost amount and a balance of an account of the media data promoter in the first t time units and a total cost amount of the media data promotion plan in the first t time units, and calculating an available balance of the media data promotion plan by the end of the tth time unit according to a statistical result; and calculating a media data placement probability of the media data promotion plan in the (t+1) th time unit based on the available balance, and placing media data in the media data promotion plan according to the calculated media data placement probability. |
