PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system in which the extraction of configuration-related data in a user-specific service and the identification of a corresponding user are separated. ! SOLUTION: A client unit 102 provides a retrieval unit 104 with user-related data 106 that allows user-specific data to be clearly identified on the basis of the user-specific data associated with a user. The retrieval unit extracts identification data associated with the user-specific data from a clearing unit 110 by using the user-related data. The clearing unit extracts the identification data 114 associated with the user-specific data from a storage device. The clearing unit provides the retrieval unit with the identification data.
