PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which performs fixation by digital heating, configured to properly heat and fix a recording medium which has been displaced during conveyance, to prevent a defect from being generated in an output image. ! SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an imaging apparatus 110 and a fixing apparatus 200. The image forming apparatus includes: a heating-control basic data generation section 445 which analyzes a data state of image data by unit image area, to generate heating-control basic data on the basis of a result of the analysis; a sheet position detection apparatus 300 which detects a position of a recording medium P conveyed to the fixing apparatus 200; a memory control section 448c for correcting the control basic data, on the basis of the amount of displacement of the recording medium P; and a final heating data generation section 448d for generating heating-control data from the corrected heating-control basic data. !
