PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply configured gas producer capable of more reliably securing airtightness between a housing and a resin molding part. ! SOLUTION: A gas producer includes a housing, an igniter and a gas forming agent. The igniter is fixed to a bottom plate part of a lower-side shell of the housing by a holding part that is made of a resin molding part. An elastic body is interposed between the bottom plate part and the holding part. Since the elastic body is arranged in a compressively deformed state, an elastic force is generated toward the bottom plate part and the holding part from the elastic body.
