[Class 135] [Also in Groups XXVIII, XXXI and XXXIV] A compressed air system for vehicle brake operation includes a tyre inflation valve having an inlet 5 connected to the compressor and a valve member 13 controlling two outlets one of which, 6, is normally open and leads to a reservoir, and the other, 14c, 14b, is normally closed and communicates with means for the external connection of a conduit 9, the valve member being moved by the application of the external connection to open the normally closed, and close the normally open outlet. On applying the nut 17 to the valve body, a nozzle 16 abuts the end of the hollow valve stem 14 and lifts the valve 13 away from the seat 1d and presses it on to the seat 1f against the. spring 15.
