The present invention relates to a system and a method for authenticating a user by near field communications (NFC). The system for authenticating a user by NFC comprises: a security device which performs user authentication using a universal subscriber identity module (USIM) ID and password transmitted via NFC in response to an authentication request; and a mobile device which transmits the USIM ID and password via NFC. The method for authenticating a user by NFC comprises the steps of: transmitting a request signal for a USIM ID from the security device to the mobile device after the pairing is completed between the security device and the mobile device; determining whether the USIM ID transmitted from the security device to the mobile device is identical with a predetermined USIM ID; transmitting a request signal for a USIM password from the security device to the mobile device; determining whether the USIM password transmitted from the security device to the mobile device is identical with a predetermined USIM password; and allowing the security device to begin operating when the authentication is completed using the USIM ID and password. According to the present invention, the USIM ID mounted on the mobile device is encoded with algorithms difficult to copy, and the USIM password is sent through a mobile application, thereby strengthening user authentication for the security device.
|
